Is Painful Tooth Extracted?

If the tooth is damaged beyond repair or if the tooth problem cannot be solved by other treatment methods, tooth extraction is performed. However, not every toothache may require tooth extraction. A clear decision can be made after an examination by the dentist to determine in which cases tooth extraction is necessary. If there is no complaint of an acute abscess in the tooth, the tooth can be extracted. Here are the situations that require extraction of the aching tooth: 

Severe Tooth Decay: If a large part of the tooth has decayed and is too damaged to be saved, tooth extraction may be necessary. 

Failure of Root Canal Treatment: If a tooth that has undergone root canal treatment fails to recover, tooth extraction may be considered. 

Gum Diseases: If gum diseases cannot be treated, tooth extraction may be an option. 

If alternative methods cannot be tried, the tooth is extracted. This alternative method is: root canal treatment, filling or bridge.
