Dr. Selin Koşar BACAK

I was born on 24 March 1988 in Afyonkarahisar. After graduating from Afyonkarahisar Teacher's High School in 2006, I started a 5-year master's degree at Erciyes University Faculty of Dentistry.
 
I graduated from the University in 2011 and worked as a general dentist in Afyonkarahisar for about 2 years. In 2014, I started my speciality education in the Department of Orthodontics at Pamukkale University Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry, as the 39th SU of TURKEY in the Speciality Examination in Dentistry (DUS). During my speciality education, I attended many various trainings, seminars and congresses both in Turkey and abroad.
 
After successfully passing the speciality qualification exam, I received training on different treatment mechanics, 3-D imaging and advanced aesthetic approaches during the period I was in the Dentistry Orthodontics Clinic. In 2018, I received the title of specialist with the thesis study "The effects of xylitol impregnated brush use on periodontal status and microbial flora in patients undergoing fixed orthodontic treatment".
I continue my professional life as an orthodontist in Fethiye. I am an active member of American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), European Orthodontic Society (EOS), World Orthodontic Society (WFO), Turkish Orthodontic Society (TOD). I am also interested in adult orthodontics, lingual bracket systems, treatment with clear aligners, orthognathic surgery, orthodontic approaches in periodontal problems, smile design.
